im 20 years old, nearly 21. ive been with this guy since 06. i adore him. we talk online, phone, or web everyday.

ive met him twice already without my parents knowing because they are super strict and always tell me theyd never trust anyone online. even when i was younger, they would tell me, make sure you dont talk to someone you dont know.. theyd monitor who i was talking to, etc.

but im old enough to know who is a predator and who is not. anyway, i love him and im positive he will be the one i will marry. we met again weds, and thursday at my college and since i live only 10 mins from college, i live with my parents.. so, today, friday, i let them meet him. i introduced him as a friend, but then after he left. i invited him over and hes on his way, but my parents still think hes a friend and distrust him… thinking hes a wise guy or w/e… and yeah, hes not

so how do i break it to them? hes taking a taxi from his hotel… what should i do??

anyone ever done anything like this before?

Honey- your an adult. Almost 21 for goodness sakes. Your parents should not be that concerned who you date. Instead of admitting that you met over the web, tell them you met him with a friend and then you started talking via web. If your this inlove with him, I doubt your parents will find him a predator- especially if you’ve already met. Just level with him, tweak the truth so it doesn’t sound so bad to them, and just remind them your an adult- and well aware of making your own decisions!
I’ve been in a simmilar situation, and it worked out fine when they met the guy. Just be cool, calm and mature. GOOD LUCK!

Seriously- your an adult. Mummy and Daddy are gonna learn how to deal. I can see why they’d be concerned if you were a kid, but your not. They may not like it. But they’ll adjust
