Ashamed to be a guy, are you?

Cantata asked:

The males in our society tend to be rather impulsive and commit all sorts of crimes and stupid things. Among the most shameful, to me, are online predators, discrimation (against imperfect people, including women) and rape.

For that I am ashamed, because I am classified under male, which is the same category as those people above. Almost everytime when I am filling out a survey and have to mark my gender, these thoughts come to mind. Now just to be clear, I am not gay, nor am I some innocent 9 year old kid. I am 18 years of age, and my hormones are running wild. Even then, these hormones aren’t helping me realise what goes on in the minds of these sex-starved people. What think? And are you ashamed as well?

You have nothing to be Ashamed about unless your one of those Sick males too. You cant be blamed for being born.

No. I am proud to be a male. The monsters that prey on children and innocents are just that. MONSTERS. We can’t categorize ourselves with them simply because we happen to be the same gender.

Take it back! Put your energies into incinerating the pervs that give males a bad name.

Um. No.
I am not the kind of person to be ashamed of something that somebody else did that I have no control over. Why should I be? And why should you be?

Rather than being ashamed of your maleness (which you can’t do anything about), why not instead concentrate on being the best man you can be?

Um, no. It is also males that put these losers away. Males that keep the world safe, promote education, help those less fortunate rise up. While I know that women do these things as well, it is men that provide the muscle to get things moving. You may be ashamed of crimes man does to other man, but unless you are doing it or promoting it, there is no need for you to be ashamed for anthing.

You don’t need to be ashamed. It’s just reassuring, to me atleast, that there are still some decent guys out there that care more about society and the world we live in than sport statistics.

when u think of it… sum guys are like that but there are alot of great guys out there too… wut u said sounds like sumthin a feminist would say or sumthin… i understand ur straight… but females also feel the same… especially now days u hear everyone say that women portray themselves as sluts in music videos and sumtimes its true… if females are so much against being portrayed as that then why do they still do it…??

I feel for you. There are far too many of our brethren out there giving us a bad reputation. Nowhere near all of us are emotionless bastards.

God gave men the hormones we have to be used for good–not evil. When people become selfish, they take the good things God gave them and warp them into lustful desires.
